My name is Ricardo Rodriguez. I am Chicano, born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. Bikes are a big part of how I relate to the world, through education, politics, bicycle mechanics, and sewing cycling specific goods. Thanks for being here.
Toast Tea Threads got its start in the winter of 2011, in a DIY insulated garage in Olympia, WA. Just outside its city centers, the Pacific Northwest provides a wonderfully vast and diverse natural landscape. Roads that lead to awe inspiring lookouts, conifer lined mountains and countless bodies of pristine water are what inspired Toast Tea Threads.
I set out to create gear for those who love adventure, and seek out quality materials to help them go farther. In a world that thrives off of fast fashion, poor working conditions, and adding countless waste into the waste stream, I’m committed to giving new life to old things. Recycling, up-cycling, and repurposing.
Toast Tea Threads has gear for every season, and is made in small batches. Custom items are available upon request. This project is just me, Ricky, your support and patience is always welcome. Stay warm, stay Toast Tea.
